Description: We are currently looking for a Product Design student to join the Product Development Department on a 40 week placement starting in June/July 2012. Urbis is continually looking to introduce modern, fresh ideas into our product range, especially in architecturally led areas. Past students have seen their concept designs through the full design process to prototype stage and even into full production. We are particularly looking for people with an artistic flair and it is essential that candidates can produce good freehand sketches and have a reasonable knowledge of CAD software (Solidworks). Visualisation skills will be also be essential, preferably 3DS Max. Applicants who are invited for interview should be prepared to produce a series of sketches on their lighting ideas for a set theme.
